My printer is installed but wont print

My printer suddenly stopped printing and each time I give the command to print, the response I get is that I should instal a printer. What should I do, can some please advice

make sure it selected as the primary printing devices. if it a wifi or usb printer make sure windows using the usb print spool. and not lpt print spool.(under advance option of the printer driver. if it a wifi printer make sure the printer set up right.
