OS type: doesnt matter, whatever goes
Mobo Type: depends on the maker. If in doubt, check the makers website for details as to what is supported with which mobo.
OK. Here goes. may be slightly wrong. feel free to correct.
Initial TBirds went from 650Mhz to 950Mhz, 100Mhz bus, 1.7 to 1.75v.
TBird B's are 1000, 1100, 1200, 1300, 1400, 100Mhz bus, 1.75v.
Tbird C's are 1000, 1133, 1200, 1333, 1400, 133Mhz bus 1.75v.
Palomino's are XP1500+ (1333), XP1600+ (1400), XP1700+ (1466), XP1800+ (1533), XP1900+ (1600), XP2000+ (1666), XP2100+ (1733), 133Mhz bus, 1.75v.
Tbred A's are XP1700+ (1466@1.5v), XP1800+ (1533@1.5v), XP1900+ (1600@1.5v), XP2000+ (1666@1.6v), XP2100+ (1733@1.65v), XP2200+ (1833@1.65v).
Tbred B's (133Mhz bus) are XP2400+ (2000@1.6v?), XP2600+ (2133@1.65v)
Tbred B's (166Mhz bus) are XP2600+ (2083@1.65v),
XP2700+ (2166@1.65v), XP2800+ (2250@1.65v)
Also due to be released soon are the Barton CPU's with an extra 256Kb of L2 cache at XP2500, 2700 and 3000+ speeds.
