Okay, a friend of mine got a TBredA 2100+, trying to use it in his A7V133 (KT133A) board. It runs fine at 100mhz FSB, but at 133mhz FSB it won't boot. No post, no VGA bios nothing. Fans, HDD, etc spin, but no signs of life.

His PSU is 350W, which might be a little low because he has 4 HDDs and 2 optical drives, but I'd figure an insufficient power supply would cause instability, not a complete refusal to boot...

He's stumped. I don't have any experience with his chipset or CPU so I am too. Ideas?

Edit: Just talked to him some more, got him to run WCPUID, apparantly it's running at 20x100!? Shouldn't the multiplier on a TBredA 2100+ be 14?

Maybe it won't boot at 133 because it's trying to run at 133x20... but that'd mean it was already unlocked when he bought it (he hasn't unlocked it)...

Confusing.<P ID="edit"><FONT SIZE=-1><EM>Edited by Col_Kiwi on 01/25/03 01:49 PM.</EM></FONT></P>

Whoa. Check out <A HREF="http://kiwiserv.kicks-ass.net/files/ummWTF.jpg" target="_new">this</A> screenshot...

Edit: He tells me now that he's tried with no drives, so just mobo, video, cpu, ram, and it didn't post.
