On most new motherboards if you go into the BIOS and disable COM1 COM2 and LPT then try and install Windows XP Pro it will fail. Misc erros from BSOD's to "cannot read disc". This is very wierd but true. I have had it happen from an AMD setup to my current Intel setup. Anyone know why?
