Since the MN-700 router has a built in firewall can I now remove the Norton
Internet Security 2004 from my PC or is their any benefit to keeping both
on?

The router firewall only filters incoming packets. Norton
also filters *outgoing* packets -- this helps uncovering
spyware or other malware trying to use your Internet
connection.

The second point is that the router firewall does not
protect against other computers in the LAN. This may be
(although probably not often) an issue in certain
environments (e.g. offering open wifi, soho), or when one
of the computers is unprotected in the DMZ.
