Hello

Well christmas is in 2 weeks and ive been told im allowed a laptop (YES!!!)

Ive got a budget of about £2000, so ive been looking at 3 laptops but mainly just 2 of them.

The first one is the Macbook Pro 17 inch model, and the specs are;

-Intel Core 2 Duo 2.8Ghz
-4GB 1066MHz DDR3 SDRAM - 2X2GB
-500GB Serial ATA Drive @ 7200 rpm
-Nvidia Geforce 9400M + 9600M GT 512MB

--------------

The second one is the Alienware m17x, and the specs are;

-Intel® Core™ 2 Quad Q9000 2.0Ghz
-4096MB 1333MHz Dual Channel DDR3 SDRAM 2x2048
-500GB (7,200rpm)
-Single 1GB GDDR3 NVIDIA GeForce GTX 260M

-------------

The 3rd which to be honest i havnt really considered but it does look good is the Rock Direct Xtreme 790;

-Intel Core i7-920 2.66Ghz
-3Gb DDR3 1333MHz
-2 x 250Gb 7200rpm SATA HDD's
-nVidia GeForce GTX 280M 1Gb

So there are the ones ive been looking at (mainly the alienware and the mac). I really do not no which to go for, there all roughly £1800-2000 in price. I like the Macbook for the looks obviously and it seems to be the best portable one of all of them which is a factor as it will be moving sometimes the downside for me about the macbook is the graphics cards which dont seem that good at all, and me being a gamer isnt great, but to be honest it wont be my main system for gaming as i have a desktop for that but it would be nie to put some games on for when im traveling (mainly world of warcraft). My main use for the Laptop by the way is Films, editing, chat and music etc (but the odd game would be nice). The alienware seems a better system as for hardware but it also looks huge and bulky which puts me off, its also as far as im aware of basicly a Dell which puts me off as ive had a few problems with them in the past, not sure if it would be the same with the alienware though. As for the Rock one ive not really considered it but im not sure why because its a very good system, probably because ive not really heard of Rock Direct so if anyone has used there products and can give feedback that would be great. On a side note the battery on the macbook suposedly lasts upto 8 hours which is also very nice.

So i no really its down to me but ive been trying to secide for a week now and as i say its 2 weeks off christmas and id like to here asap. I look forward to seeing what you guys think and thanks inadvance.

Well if you are going to play games,don't waste your money on MacbookPros.
This SAGER NP8760 would be an excellent choice:

It has GTX 280M + i7 CPU which beats the AW M17x with Q9000/GTX 260M
