Hello,
I recently installed a time machine for the rest of the families macs, but i am running Windows 7. It doesn't appear to be able to back up my files on the time machine. Is this right or am i missing something? The inyernet works well through the TC but not storage.

shergold,
Did you ever get an answer on this? I'm going to have a mix of a Mac and PC on my home network so I am wondering also if an Apple Time Capsule will back up both computers.

Thanks,
dousley

Don you mean Time Capsule? Time Machine is an application exclusive to Mac OS, it does not exists for Windows.

In order to get your Windows files backed up to Time Machine, all you need is a back up application. If Im not mistaken, Windows has a backup utility that could work.

There's a catch - Windows 7 HOME Edition does NOT have built in software to backup to a wireless device. That feature is only available in Windows 7 PRO.
