I'm ready to upgrade my old old Inspiron 7000 laptops.

Is there a reliable website for laptop/notebook computer reviews ?

I can't decide between another Dell and a Toshiba. Could stretch for a
Thinkpad if it had any special appeal, but I don't see it yet. Wonder if
Dell has any new models coming out in the next few months ?

Want 15" screen (not too big or too little), CD-R writer, built in wi fi and
firewire, long batt life, touch pad 'mouse'.

Check recent issue of Consumer Reports, I think I saw a section that
reviewed laptops.

The IBM are built rock solid. I have an Dell Inspiron and it works fine but
is made very cheaply. If I was going to use it on the go, I would go with
IBM.
