Hey all,

I'm in the process right now of choosing parts for my second computer build and i'm in need of a monitor. I'd really appreciate any suggestions anyone has for a gaming monitor for around or under $200. I prefer the resolution to be something around 1920x1080 since I will most likely be using a ATI 4890 video card in my system. I'm trying to find a monitor thats between 19 and 22 inches too. I saw 2 on newegg that I like, I was wondering if anyone could tell me any experience they have with these monitors or if they don't any monitor suggestions would be helpful. Also, i've read some things saying the ASUS monitors are not good for gaming because they have a 5ms response time. I don't how true this or if there is a noticeable difference between 5ms and 2ms, but again any help is greatly appreciated.

How about the 24" Asus VW246H for $220?

Below is my review of the Asus VK246H which is the same as the VW, but without the webcam.

The very last post is a link to a more professional review of the VK246H.

Thanks for the reply, I'll have to check into that monitor, do you know how it performs when it comes to games (Ghosting, etc.)? I looked through your review and didn't seen anything regarding games, though I may have missed it. Thanks again

There is a gaming section in my review.

I used it to basically play Fallout 3 for around 10 hours or so during testing. I did not notice any ghosting issues.

Read the Prad.de review as well. Link is provided at the bottom of the thread.

I now see it in your review, I must have missed it before. I'm definitely going to take that monitor into consideration, I've heard mostly good things about asus monitors. Thanks again for all your help.
