Hey folks, I have an interesting dilemma here that I was really hoping to get some feedback on:

My rig is hooked up to a 27" Toshiba television via the built-in PC VGA connector. Unfortunately, the BIOS screen does not display on this setup. In the past when I've needed into safe mode I've just memorized the proper keystrokes. Now I am attempting to install Windows 7 on a partition and I don't want to be blindly pressing keys. So:

Is there a way to change the resolution for the BIOS? OR
Does anyone know what the keystrokes would be used to boot from the DVD? (Though, perhaps the installer won't display either, in which case I realize I am out of luck).

No one in my house has a monitor (laptop generation it seems). I have searched for awhile online for solutions to no avail.

Any help would be immensely appreciated!

(Also, I am sorry to introduce myself this way, as a new poster crying out for help. For what it's worth: Greetings everyone!)

False alarm. I found an S-Video cable and was then able to see the boot screen. Apparently this is a common issue with HDTVs, so perhaps this can help others. Otherwise, this thread should be closed
