Dell Monitor Problem

Get a load of this. I turned on my monitor and it had a black screen and the power light was blinking. So i did the Self test thing and the results fell in the category of defective. So i left it on for 15 more minutes, by then it would of been about 45 minutes since i first started it up. And the display came on. Now i'm happy and i want to know how to avoid the blinking problem again.

Have you contacted Dell regarding this? Sometimes, they are willing to help even though items are out of warranty.
