Smallest gel cell battery

I am looking for a small gel cell battery that will power my tc-d5m. Any suggestions?

I have heard that powering it through the ac input will cause (extra) noise. Can I connect the battery through the battery well to avoid this? Thanks in advance

All Electronics carries some small gel cells. It looks like it is already equipped for D-cells, why would you rather use a different battery? If you really want to you can connect a gel cell either through a custom adapter which you make for the DC in jack or a kinda 'taped together' rig in the battery compartment. Tell me which you'd rather do.
