LG TV "No program information"

I bought a 35" LG TV a few months ago. I have nothing but an outdoor antenna.

For about the first month or two, when the INFO button was pushed, the TV would display program information (i.e. the name of the show being shown on the selected channel).

And then one day I turned the TV on and it was (and still is) displaying "No program information" instead of displaying the name of the currently displayed program. All other information about the current channel is displayed OK.

I've tried everything to make the program information re-display but no luck.

Have any of you readers been able to figure out how to get the program information back??

More about : program information

Is "No Program Information" continuously flashing on and off?

unplug the cable box from power, wait 15 seconds, plug it back in
turn the box on again
now wait about 5-15 minutes for a reboot, then your program guide should be back

This happens after the TV has lost power, because the TV no longer has the current time (and time zone). Just re-input the time.

Joeman, you're exactly right about the cause and solution to my problem. I've been meaning to post on here that I found my solution.

I unplugged the TV to do some house cleaning and that's what caused my program info malfunction. I re-entered the current time and time zone and now everything is just as it should be.

Thanks for your reply anyway, Joeman.... :wahoo:
