Just a quick question. I have a 60 giog HD and would like to partition it before I load XP. I want 3 partitions, one 30 gig,one 25 gig and a 5 gig just for backing up my business data.Does this sound ok or do you have any good suggestions for partitioning. Also will I have to still back up data to a floppy for safe keeping. I back up four times a week. I figure with XP on the first partion if I had to reload windows my data would be safe on the last partition.I ahve partition magic 7.0 but I will partition it with the maxtor disk and let xp format it to NTFS. Thanks Bruce

no prob partitioning it the way you want. fdisk will do the trick.

AFA backups, you definitely have to back up to other media. When the drive goes, all partitions will go not just one.
