reinstalling xp home edition

system shuts down and restarts during the stage installing windows, with
system log message....,
one of the components that windows needs to continue setup could not be found
setup encountered an error while trying to set system security
an extented error has occoured.

please help tstone

ok I did that i set my cd drive first position in cmos also but it still
shouts down in gui installing widows with the message i first desribed , what
could be a security device can i do something else
