TOM magnasave question

I havn't played TOM much before buying the one I have. With the
magnasave feature. Seems to be uncontrolled, but when it goes off.
seems it goes off anytime it's near the slingshots. Hardly ever
useful. And if it does grab it. It floats around in a circles and
usually not at a dead stop when the mag shuts off. so sometimes it
goes down the side or over the slingshot. Is this normal. I don't
know much about this feature or how it suppose to work.

not supposed to sense a ball until it enters the very top of the
outlane. then it kicks on for 2-3 seconds and drops it straight in the
inlane. Mines always at a dead stop byt he time the magnet shuts off,
so you may want to look into it. there's a pot onthe sensing board to
adjust sensitivity. might want to tweak on that.

I found with mine that it helps if the magnet is mounted to be tight
against the underside of the playfield. I removed the bracket and bent
it just a little to make the magnet have better contact (it's a pretty
tough bracket to bend). Since doing this (and the potentiometer tweaks
Dan suggested) it works great and comes to a dead stop every time.

all fixed. I didn't have a manual yet. so i looked at a pdf version
online to figure out how to calibrate them. the light was always on,
so as soon as hocus pocus kicked in. the magnasave would go off. now it
works perfect. Thanks all.
