Hello,
I do hope someone can help me otherwise my Dell will be flying through
the nearest window pretty sharpish.
I purchased a dell dimension 3000 a couple of months ago - no problems
apart from a sometimes tipsy screen.
Today I switched on and was told I had 'dirty' files. Tried to do a
system restore to no avail and am now desperate just to wipe the whole
thing and start from scratch.
I 'would' phone support but that is my last resort really as have a
chronic phobia of phones. As you can guess, although I have been online
a few years - the techy side is still gobbledygook to me so please be
gentle and if possible give me idiot proof instructions.
My main problem is that I can't work out how to wipe everything from my
machine. Everytime I put in any of the cd's supplied with the machine I
am just taken back to my desktop (all be it after a looooong wait)
With my old emachine I was able to just put in the disks and hey presto
all was done. I need to get this done quite soon as am starting a
course in a couple of months and can't afford to be waiting for pc to
be fixed/replaced.
Please, please, please, grovelly please can anyone help?
Many thanks
