Considering a Samsung P2070 20" monitor ($ 200) or a Samsung
2033 SW ($ 170), also 20"
The major difference, for me, seems to be that the 2070 has 250 cd/m^2 Brightness while the 2033 has 300. In the store, the 2033 certainly seemed Brighter, but I have no way of knowing if the two monitors were adjusted and optimized correctly.
Think the 300 vs 250 is meaningful ? Most 20" monitors of other brands seem to offer 300.
Another (big ?) difference is that the Dynamic Contrast Ratio for the 2070 IS 50,00:1, while for the 2033 it's 15,000:1.
The 2070 also has a 2 msec response time vs 5 msec for the 2033.
Funny, but the cheaper 2033 pix looked a "little" better in the store, but again I don't know how well they both were set up.
Which would you get ? Why ?
Is the 2070 (more expensive one) meant to be a replacement for the 2033 perhaps ?
Any thoughts would be most appreciated.
Thanks, Bob
