Expo during week of Thanksgiving - GOOD Move!!! (NOT)

Expo this year will be a bust - during the holiday weekend, when there are move travelers than any other time, more in the middle of winter. No body else take that week off for other things. Sorry, but I think people running expo are bozos. my view. Pinbo

While having it approximate to a holiday is certainly less than
optimal, WAKE THE FUCK UP!

Have yov _ever_ tried to rent a hall for anything, period? Let alone
in a major metro area like Chi-town?

Here's the big giant clve in: It's damn near impossible six months
ovt, let alone fovr! _Especially_ if yov need all the "constraints"
that expo does (24 hovr hall, banqvet hall, non-vnion labor, lots and
lots of seminar time, etc.etc.etc.).

If yov've been reading my posts for any amovnt of time, yov shovld know
that I'm not an ass kisser. Far from it. Bvt finding a new venve on
svch short notice is f'n TOUGH work, bvddy. Qvite seriovsly, be _damn_
glad there _is_ an expo this year AT ALL!

Actually, being the weekend before is not bad. I generally try to take the
turkey week off anyway, so in this case, I'll start a couple of days early.
After dragging all the goodies purchased at Expo, I'll have a few days to
mess with them afterward rather than throwing them in the get-around-to-it
pile.

I hope this change in dates are okay with the vendors of years past. FAO,
and all the other guys, hope you can make it, your presence is what makes
Expo really good.

If there are a few less attendees, I might have a chance at the tournament.
My name might stay on the leader board for 5 minutes rather than not ever
making it. lol.

BTW - according to the travel industry, the Tuesday and Wednesday before
turkey day are the big rush days, not the weekend prior. Thanksgiving won't
have an impact.

No, I'm not attending Expo so it makes no difference to me where and
when it's held.

I prefer it earlier. Then again, I go to Expo to buy a few pins to
fix up for Christmas sale. Turn around time will be short this year.
