There are two completely different proprietary control systems, and therefore more worth it to buy ready made units that were designed to interface together. Designing a custom interface costs much more than the ready made method, Sorry.

I understand that the SMPTE can be converted to MIDI time code and MIDI time code to SMPTE, and the HD24 can generate MIDI time code. I am not concerened with the cost. I need to know what equipment is needed. I need to find a way to sync an analogue tape system to a digital system, blending the two systems. Again, I am not concerned with the cost. I did not ask if it was cost effective. With all due respect, the question remains, how can this be done. That is what I need to know.

yes there is a way to do it for sure...i used to sync two 388's together back in the day....

i dunno if i will check this forum again as i found it by accident.
