My Athlon 2100+ core speed is listed at 1729.0 on CPUID. I thought it was supposed to be at 1733. How do I get it to read that. FSB is set at 133 and has a 13.0 multiplyer.

Another question is my cpu is a AXDA21000. Does anybody know which Throroughbred it is (A or B)?

Thank you in advance for you answers.

It's around 1733, that's usual. Most times clock speed don't match identically to the labeled clock speed. My Duron 1 Ghz runs at 1002 MHz.

You can't identify T-bread "A" or "B" from model code. If WCPUID says "model 8 stepping 1", then it's T-bred "B". If it's only "model 8", then it's T-bred "A".

Look on CPUID on FSB part. It's running at 133, not at 133.33 as it should. But thats right, simply your mobo is not accurate enough giving the FSB. Mine is giving 133.45, so I'm running at higher frecuency. But realise that 0.3Mhz of 133Mhz is just only 0,225%! Almost nothing.

If you are worried about it, just go into BIOS and rise the FSB to 134 and you will be over the 1733 mark. If still want to play a little more, raise to 135, or 136, or why not 137 ... WELCOME! You are now in overclockers field! It wasn't so difficult, right? Just another point, do you realise that only increasing 5Mhz the FSB (to 138) you have a 2200+?

Also, always remember to monitor your temps. Test stability at full load (Prime95 is a good option).

Good luck and again, welcome!

AXDA2100DUT3C - T-Bred B.
Also the core stepping ends w/ letter B (ex. AIUGB).

AXDA2100DLT3C - T-Bred A.
The core stepping ends w/ letter A (ex. AIUGA).

As for the speed this is normal, 4 MHz won't make any difference. My 700MHz (7*100) CPU is listed at 703MHz on WCPUID.

Thanks for the info guys, I guess I will leave all alone and just enjoy the machine!

I have the AXDA2100DUT3C and it is a Model 8 stepping 1. So I have Thoroughbred B chip.
