Is my monitor broken for good? (shadowey patches)

so i put my monitor face down in the boot of my car on top of a thinnish pillow on top of my case to take to my friends house. When i get there I open the boot and find the monitor now resting on the plastic corner of my case. I take a look and find a big scratch looking thing from the edge to the center but this is fine It was a wipe away scratch. I then turn the monitor on and see three shadowey patches where the scratch was.

give it to me straight doc, have i just killed my beloved monitor that has plenty of life left in it?
