abnormal temps

i just upgraded my comp with a new msi k7n2 bord and cheap pc2100 ram. but my main problem is that the old cpu athlon 700 was running about 50-60c and the new xp1700 thr-b is running at 53-56c and thats with a thermaltake volcano 7+ at the medium setting. *high setting is just way too loud* anyone else run into this problem? im getting the temps off the motherboard temp diode but i wouldnt think it would be that far off. isnt the normal temp suppose to be around 30 to 40c? help!

Don't trust the probe, I have the same board, it's off by about 15 celsius, you're fine dude, drop down to medium or low fan speed

Instead of Rdram, why not just merge 4 Sdram channels...
