For the Athlon XP tbred a and b could you please post your steppings and indicate whether you know it is a or b for sure? As well, please indicate the processor PR rating.
It is much appreciated. I think doing this will help establish tbred-a from b.
I have a XP1700+ JIUHB week 3 of 2003. It's a "B" and it can run Prime95 stable at only 2205MHz with a 200.45MHz FSB in Dual Channel Sync mode. The highest stable frequency running Prime95 was 2214.83MHz with a 12.5 multiplier (177.19MHz FSB).
I know for sure, that there's some JIUHB steppings which can do 2300MHz+. However, most will do in the 2100MHz - 2200MHz range.
/Copenhagen - Clockspeed will make the difference... in the end
XP1700+ JIUHB 0302 (week 2 of 2003) overclocked to 2100 Mhz (15 * 140). It's a "B" which you can identify by the last letter of the batch code, JIUHB.
99% is great, unless you are talking about system stability
