CPU/Memory Compatibility

I currently have the following:

P4 1.5 GHZ (Socket 478) w/400 MHz FSB
ASUS P4B-LX Mobo
512 Mb (2X256) PC133 SDRAM

I want to upgrade my mobo and mem to:

ASUS P4PE... mobo
Crucial DDR PC2700 CL=2.5 Unbuffered Non-parity 6ns 2.5V 64Meg x 64

and then wait for prices to drop a bit to get a P4 2.53 GHz w/533 MHz FSB.

Will this work? I've looked everywhere and can't find a compatibility link for processors and memory types. I'm sure it's a n00b question, but what the hell :) .

Thanks.

Socket 478 processors do tend to be functional in Socket 478 boards, yes.
