Cheaper P4 CPUs with Hyper-Threading?

Is it true that Intel is planing to add soon Hyper- Threading capability to some slower (and cheaper) models of the P4, like the 2.4 or 2.53 GHz CPUs? If yes, when is this expected?

  1. Actually those chips already have hyperthreading on them. It's just not enabled.

  3. In a word - no.
  4. highly doubtful. Maybe just before the clawhammer comes out in order to take some of the wind out of AMD's sales, but I still doubt it.

  5. According to the roadmaps, all upcomming FSB800 P4's will have HT enabled, all the way down to the 2.4 GHz.
