Upgrading Need Hlp??

Hi! I wanted to upgrade my system. The System i have right now is:
Intel PentiumIII:600MHz , Intel D815EEAA Mobo
Ram: SDRAM: 256Mb
20GB Seagate HDD

I am going to upgrade it to

Intel Celeron: 1.80GHz 128Kb Cache, MOBO Gigabyte GA-8SIML
DDR PC2100 128MB, And 40 GB Seagate

Would it be fine to upgrade to this computer cause i am sitting on net doing programming and i want to run winXP on it would it be fine to use this CPU???????

  1. i would double the ram if your going to use xp.

    my computer is so fast, it completes an endless loop in less than 4 seconds!

  3. Gotta upgrade that CPU also...its a wet blanket for you...unless you are extremely cash limited...

    <<Edit>> ALso get a new HDD...XP is big and you wont have room left for any progs...go at least 60 GB...one of those Western DIgital 8MB Cache are nice and you can find them for about a dollar per gigabyte with rebates at retail stores.
