Everytime I restart my computer, a screen shows up saying windows did not
start successfully and asking to either restart in safe mode or normal
mode... and keep happening. I even did system restore but didn't work. Would
someone help me with this?

You should see an option in the lower part of that screen to restart
using "the last known good configuration" or something to that effect.

Try that.

Something is wrong and you have to fix it. That's as specific as I can
get without more information from you. Here's a link where you can see
how to make a good newsgroup post:

I'm not saying this to hurt your feelings; I want to help you maximize
your chances of getting a good, accurate answer.

In the meantime here are a few things to check:

1. See if there are any clues in Event Viewer.
Start>Run>eventvwr.msc [enter]

2. Ask yourself: what changed between the time things worked and the
time they didn't?

In the event viewer there are a few errors that keep repeating...
Under Application --> Error nview_info category -> None event -> 1
Under system --> Error Service Control Manager category-> None
event->7023

I don't think there are any major changes except installing softwares here
and there. This problem happened a long time ago, and never got better.

The nview is coming from Nvidia's nView Desktop Manager and doesn't need
to start with Windows. You need to do clean-boot troubleshooting to
determine what is giving Windows difficulty:

and How to Troubleshoot By Using the Msconfig Utility in Windows XP -
