Upgrade for amd duron 800mhz

Okay I have a micron pc 800mhz amd duron and compaq pesario P3 700hmz computers. I would like to upgrade both of these to make them faster. What should i do that will increase porformance and not break the bank? I dont know a whole lot about this stuff so thanks for any help you can give me.

what motherboard are these cpu's on? Micron should be able to tell u thru their website or you can open it up and look at it...

okay i got it open how do i tell what mobo it is?

it should say something on it sumwhere...

like
ASUS, ABIT, AZZA, MSI, EPOX, CHAINTECH....something....it'll have a name and a model # and a revision #....
