I am going on vacation at the end of the week and will be setting Outlook up
to auto-reply. My understanding is for that to work, Outlook has to be open
and running. I can certainly leave it that way. But since I live in an area
subject to brownouts, I'm almost certain that the machine will reboot at
least once. Is there a way I can set it up so that on reboot, it will
automatically open up Outlook? I have no password on the machine and it's
secure (as it can be) at home. Thanks.

Place a shortcut to the program in :
C:\Documents and Settings\Your user name\Start Menu\Programs\Startup

Well, that worked like a charm I must say. I guess if I'd thought about it
for two minutes I could have figured it out. Interesting side note - when I
dropped the shortcut in the Start folder, Microsoft Spyware warned me about
it. Tres cool. Thanks

You're welcome. I confess that I use this idea to annoy my technically
challenged roommate. She still hasn't figured out why my amateur Flash
animations start up when she opens her desktop sometimes.
Enjot your vacation.
