There is always a lot of talk about smartphone cameras, I was wondering, instead of worrying so much about improving the smartphone camera, why not use an already well established technology proven to give good pictures then build the phone into it.
for example, a smartphone built into a DSLR camera
Or the components of a DSLR shoved into a larger phone casing
A larger body also offers many other benefits, eg faster components and a larger battery.
I bet many people would be OK with a phone design like this
Anyway, why not just combine the 2 and get the best of both worlds?
More aboutweird question smartphone cameras
Most people have a smartphone because they're thin and the photos are ok. It does not make much sense to have a slim camera, a tiny point and shoot camera, and then have bulky lens. That's why there are slr's..
