I got a local admin to a domain win7 system, but I cannot modify device manager

I got a local admin to a domain win7 system from a admin user, he added to the administrator group by logging by his id. But I cannot modify device manager settings after I logon to the domain from that same PC. But I can install stuffs now independently. Please explain.....

Try logging on as Domain admin. Group Policy is probably set up to lock you out of it even with local admin rights.

Being a domain admin is not something that is granted to everyone. I think your best bet is to log in as a local administrator. PCNAME\administrator
