Missing network adapter

can you help please? ive just reinstalled windows 7 and now when i try to go online it says no network adapter plus no intel(R) adaptors present

Have you installed the motherboard drivers?

if it a pre build hp or dell there should be a driver disk with the pc to install the mb chipset..sound and network adaptore. If it a home built pc there should be a mb driver cd that has the drivers you need. if not use cpu-z to find the mb info of your mb and then go to the mb vendor web page with another pc and download the drivers and copy them to a usb stick.

The NIC will require the drivers and your PC will run a lot better if you load them rather than let Windows choose the best fit.

the p.c in question was shop bought and working fine until some idiot nackered it so i got a win 7 disc (not genuine) and reinstalled it and since then ive been unable to connect to internet, also i no longer have the discs that came with the comp

go to dell support site using another comp (friends, office, etc..) and dl the driver from there..

about non genuine OS .................

i'm sure u are using the oem keys from your pc right?
