After some delay compared with the US, Dell now offers the Dimension
9100 in the Netherlands.
I am very interested in the experiences -good or bad- of users of
this new model. However, in this NG messages regarding the Dim 9100
are scarce. Is this model not sold very well or is it too early to
have gained experience ?
Your reactions are highly appreciated,
wederik

In the UK the case for this and the 5100 look an awful lot like the 5000
and if they are the same its a pity because the 5000 side panels are
very thin and spray painted. I have had quite a few 5000's and near all
had scratches on the side panels, they dent easy too as well as rivets
that shear in transit or with Dells rough handling of the cases. Not a
patch on the 8400 case, cost cutting again. Combine that with the
measure of no longer including paper manuals and XP discs with systems
in order to reduce costs yet again and you have a slippery slope..... Oh
and while I am ranting, how about not including the backup hidden
partition any more on some if not to be all models, you are expected to
make a backup image yourself now, not very friendly eh!

It's too early, I suspect.
