I have a HP psc 2410 all in 1: Switched fuse box off for other issue, forgot that I had not switched the printer off first, when I went to use the printer the egg timer was on printer display.
Cannot do anything with it, unplugged both usb and mains, left for a while, plugged back in, printer starts as normal but about 5-10 seconds in starts making noise of what sound likes cogs, clicking noise. At the end of this the egg timer is still up.
I have had this issue before and resolved it but cannot find the notes I made, I would be grateful if someone could advise as I am loathed to pay someone at HP for this issue considering I have only ever had this problem with HP printers.
