Dell Studio XPS 435MT Upgrade

Hey,

I've currently got an old dell xps 435mt w/ a nvidia gt 220 and I'd like to upgrade and I was wondering if these parts would be compatible with the case.

Thermaltake Litepower 500w
evga gtx 550ti

The Graphics card you selected consumes 116 Watts max power. The Thermaltake Litepower 500w will meet the power requirements. Dell conveniently omits mentioning the PCI slot power supplied by through the motherboard. I know this power is 75 watts on lesser Dell systems like the Optiplex series which I have.

Go ahead, you have a good chance of getting this to work and a call to Dell tech support may confirm it.

The GeForce 8400 GS I installed in an Optiplex 745 works great! In use for about 6 months. But again, it is not as powerful as your computer or the card you selected.
