How far have YOU pushed your Tbred B?

I just thought I would start a thread in which every owner of a Tbred B core Athlon posts theyre Processor speed, and stepping and its maximum overclock. Im particularly interested in 1700+'s, as they currently seem to be the ultimate overclockers.

Athlon XP 1700+ JIUHB core
12 x 200 @ 1.85 volts, 2400Mhz (about 2401.12, FSB isn't 200 exact).
Alpha Pal8045t heatsink
Vantec Tornado on a rheobus and volt mod 2200rpms on idle, 2700rpms on load
Epox 8rda+ Nforce2 motherboard
Corsair XMS Pc3200 DDR, forced 2-2-7-Cl2.5 though at 200Mhz Fsb

Can probably go more, but i'm happy at 2400mhz for the time being

Relatively speaking, my 1700+, JIUHB 0302 is a dud.

I can overclock to 2100 Mhz, 15 x 140, at 1.775 volt but to get any higher I need lots more voltage. 2250 Mhz, 15 x 150, needs 2.15 volt. I won't try for higher because temps reached the low 50's. My XP1700+ seems to need higher voltages for overclocking than most that I have seen.

2100 Mhz is still good for a mere $53 USD, but far from the best.

What is your cooling?

It's homebrew, essentially the Volcano 5 heatsink with a YS Tech 36 cfm TMD fan (70 mm). At 2100 mhz the 1700+ runs 37 degrees to 43 at load (Toast). I've got a Delta fan that cools about 4 degrees better but it doesn't help with overclocking and its really annoying.

I can push my XP1700+ (RIUGA) up to 2100MHz (175*12) at 1.85V (with all L11 bridges connected), but right now I'm running it 1925MHz (167*11.5) at 1.75V on Abit KX7-333R.

I got a 2100+ "AIUHB 0203 WPEW" stepping T-Bred still with locked multiplyer I just put the FSB up to 175 Mhz and upped the voltage to 1.85 and it runs 24/7 100% stable at just under 2.3gighz.

I've got this posted all over THG.

I'm running the XP1700+ @ 2.1 Ghz on an old Epox 8KTA3PRO (KT133A). I've also run it on an even older Abit KT7 but at 2.0 Ghz (20 x 100).

WHAA!! Everyone has a higher overclock speed than me. Since Ive got the JIUHB, im hoping with the help of a new mobo (will buy an nforce2 to replace my MSI 745 Ultra soon) I can push it much further. Considering Im running 1875mhz at less than stock voltage Im expecting big things from this processor.

Ahh, well I'd say it's obviously the mobo.
I would go for an nForce 2 and expect major changes in overclock performance.

I guess it would depend on the quality of the core you got, but I looked into this, and found out some of the Tbred B's run at different voltages, either 1.5, 1.6, or 1.65 volts (mine's 1.6 stock). Still, it took me 1.85 to get up to 2400, so I think the undervolting is only so effective. LHGPoobaa managed to get his Tbred A 1700+ to run at stock speeds at 1.4 volts, so I wouldn't doub the Tbred B could also do lower volting at stock speeds. You're motherboard seriously holding you back, you'll need at least a Kt333 system to see any reasonable overclocking benefits up from your system, or better, an Nforce 2 motherboard.

Nah, This board is well capable of 2.25 volts VCore and also has large adjustments in memory and AGP voltages. I am limited to 150 Mhz FSB by the PC150 and PC133 memory which I am using but it's never given me a problem. In performance terms I realize I'm well past the point of diminishing returns. SDRAM is too much of a handicap.

My problem is clearly the CPU. Case in point, I can overclock to 2.0 ghz at stock voltage, 1.6 volt. To get to 2.1 ghz I need to increase it to 1.775 volt. To get to 2.25 ghz I need 2.15 volt. High VCore requirement has occured too soon for my CPU to be one of the ones that can reach 2.4 Ghz with air cooling. Perhaps with water cooling I could do it but I think this CPU would really need water + peltier cooling.

Doesn't matter what it really needs for cooling I'm not going to invest in something expensive just for a little more overclock which won't help.

All other upgrades are on hold until Doom III comes out.

Mine is 1.6 stock too - I suppose this is a bad thing since it means the core is unable to run at that speed at the lower voltages. Unfortunately, I dont have the money to upgrade my board atm. But as soon as I have, ill probably buy the Epox nforce2 board and see how far it will go.

I just today baught a T-Bred 'B' 1700+ JIUHB 0302 Processor....it runs at 1.6VCore stock.......

right now shes running at 28 degrees celcious under full load with the EXACT same cooling as my T-Bred 'A' 1800+ had...and its also overclocked to 2000+......

Here's my question....my Motherboard is the ASUS A7S333...with the SiS745 chipset...my experience shows this chipset doesnt like being pushed above 158Mhz FSB.....so i need to OC VIA Multiplier.....now....just like my T-Bred 'A' I dont have the option in my bios for ANY Multipleir above 12.5.......so how do i do this ??? I know with a T-Bird 1.333GHz AYHJA i had like the options 13.0, 13.5 and above..but right now it doesnt....i wanna see how far this can go...i mean i only paid $109 CDN for this 1700+ T-Bred 'B' Retail........so far its running great.........but i want ti to go higher!

My SiS745 wont allow above 150 unfortunately. I think the only way to enable multipliers above 12.5/13 is to do a mod on the chip itself. I think you simply close the L3 bridge (you will need to verify this - it was mentioned somewhere) and it will enable all multipliers in bios upto about 20. This will be my next move, although I will wait until I next get my mobo out for cleaning to do it.

well....i get 155.........

Im running at 12.5 Multiplier and 155Mhz FSB right now for 1940MHz......default voltage.....

as for the L3 bridge.....those r directly under the L1 bridges on this chip...and all 5 of them on my chip r NOT laser cut.......i tryed that "wire loop" trick around 2 pins on the bottom side of the chip (and yes there on the right pins) but than i read that only unlocks all multipliers from 5.0 - 12.5 and those were already unlocked for me as the L1 bridges r factory unlocked.......

I Want more Multipliers dammit! =)

I know sum 1 here must know how to do this!
