game programming language preference?

i am interested in game programming and was wondering if
anyone knew what the language of choice was. i knew at
one time it was C/C++ but now there's Managed C++ and C#.
has anything changed?

Hi there
I'm not a programmer myself, and i've never made a game
before. But from what i've heard. Your best bet is to
start with the 'BASIC's *Get the pun? *, once you've
mastered that, you want to move onto the C++ stuff.

Your local book shop should supply you with a book about
BASIC etc, and you might find some help online
