Help please!

Im not gonna make this a long story, but basically i need to buy something around the Athlon 2600 and the P4 2.53Ghz price range.

I do a lot of 3d development and animation, so perhaps the athlon may be a better choice, despite its lower clock speed. I also do gaming, but with my current system its a little difficult!

I really need to know what i should go for, but i cant decide. Please give me some ideas!

Go for Athlon XP 2600+ (333 MHz FSB)

For that sort of work the Athlon will be way faster than the P4.
