I have a new computer running XP Home Edition with Service
Pack 1a.
All the critical Updates for XP have been
downloaded/installed.
When running a game, I get this message:
"XX Game MFC Application has encountered a problem and
needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.
Please tell Microsoft about this problem."
We sent this msg across the internet but never heard back
from Microsoft.
The Events Viewer for Application logs this error msg:
"Faulting application xxrace.exe, version 1.0.0.1,
faulting module xxrace.exe, version 1.0.0.1, fault address
0x000020c8.
For more information, see Help and Support Center at
http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp."
Have any of you ran into this problem? Please advise.
Thank you.
