I just just curious , I've read that there are 2 ways of determining CPU temp . from the Core or from the socket
I presume the core would be the most accurate. while checking temps w/MBM the socket temp was usually 5*c +
of the core temp , I was told this is normal due to air flow under the heatsink, I have an Antec 1040 case with
good ventilation , so my temps are fine
just out of curiousity I put a termometer with a sensor wire lead between the bottom of h/sink and m/board (its a thin sensor ) and it showed about 5* c warmer than measured core.
Is this indeed normal or should I configure a fan to blow under the HSF
