Hi friends,
I am going to buy a new P&S within next week.I have read quite a lot of reviews about cameras from different brands.

Ok...... Which is a better sensor------CCD or CMOS or MOS(the last one used by panasonic)?

Also how much difference does a sensor make in quality of image in P&S level? (I am not talking about sensors of DSLR or SLRs)?

Thanks in advance.

The links below may help answer your question. From what I gather CMOS is more susceptible to noise, CCD uses more power and MOS tries to combine the best of both. I do use a camcorder that uses a CMOS sensor and have been pleased with the quality. That is not to say that it is better than CCD.
