UNMOUNTABLE BOOT VOLUME Tags: Blue Screen Boot CD-Rom Laptops Last response: January 14, 2010 5:59 AM in Laptops & Notebooks Share chasethis48 January 1, 2010 2:04:55 PM Hi. I received the blue screen of death that read "UNMOUNTABLE BOOT VOLUME." I understand that if I were to insert the Windows XP disk into my CD Rom, I may be able to fix the problem. The problem is my CD Rom doesn't work. I would like to know if I can use a usb port to load the softwear by either using my external cd rom or flash drive?
