My HTC Wildfire won't connect to wifi

My HTC wildfire was previously able to connect to the school wifi fine, but after I changed my sim card, it refuses to connect. Whenever I hit connect, it just goes to scanning, connecting, connecting to eduroam, then disconnected. I went to the school services for this and they couldn't connect it either.

I have tried removing the phone password for the connection and it kept wanting me to make one whenever I tried connecting. Tried forgetting it and connecting it again, tried turning the phone off and on. Also, the connection is supposed to be strong where I currently am, but the network does not show up.

The network connects and works fine on my ipod and my laptop though.

What can I do to fix it? Does changing my sim card affect the phone's connectivity for wifi?
