This game is being used in a local contest. As part of the competition,
you can only play for 3 minutes. Does anyone have a strategy for
earning a lot of points in this game in 3 minutes?

Well, first thing, you'll have to make a skill shot. I'm going to say have
the ball come around and hit the right ramp with the third flipper. You
don't get as much as the hole at the top, but since its all about time, It'd
be faster to hit the ramps. Then see about starting a mode. You'll just have
to take what's lit, don't spend your time trying to get that "one mode" that
your good at. While your doing this, take every shot you can to start
banging on the mirror. Starting the multiball is a god idea. Relight mode
start just after you've started your first one so you can jump right into
the next one. While working on the mirror, you could backhand some shots
into the eject "wow" hole.

Bottom line, get multiball in there somewhere. Hit that mirror every time
the ball goes past the third flipper.

Do they just cut you off after 3 minutes? That's kind of stupid. I saw
the truck carrying the pin driving south on 75 last night.

I agree that mvltiball wovld be the way to get points qvick. Yov might
want to hit the mirror once, then let the ball drain. That will advance
the mirror to drop when yov lavnch the 2nd ball (wait for the mirror to
fall, abovt 4 sec). Using the avto-lavnch (hit both flippers) and then
the 3rd flipper to hit the mirror hole, I vsvally hit >90% of the time.
In mvltiball try to work the ramps. This shovld give yov the longest
time in mvltiball. If yov hit 1 ramp once, and the other twice while in
mvltiball, try working the mirror hole again as well as the ramps.
After mvltiball try going into 'vnion jack' modes.

What area is that in, I heard of one in Fla abovt a month ago. The
winner hit 142 million in 3 mins.

Thanks for the suggestions.

I have a tough time using the upper (3rd) flipper to hit either the
mirror or right ramp. Multi-ball does seem to be the key, but getting it
is the problem...

Yes, they do time you and stop you when you hit 3 minutes. So scoring
high in that 3 minutes is the goal.

The high scores have averaged a lot more then 142 million so far.

My strategy playing Tommy in a 2-minute drill was to quickly drain
(tilt, actually) the first two balls, which sets up multiball on
the beginning of the third ball. Of course, then I missed the shot
to actually start it, but that would be the quickest way to get
points, assuming you proceed quickly through the multiball itself.

Kevin, do you tilt after making the ramp skill shot, or just right away?
The top hole skill shot would be way too slow, but the ramp shot (if made)
would quickly return the ball to the drain.

I think also get the one way combo points on that - though I don't
recall if they are worth more than the ramp skill shot or not.
