Device 1 (slave HD) on the primary IDE is readiing "PIO Mode only". I am not
given the option in the drop down to change it to DMA.
Background - Due to suspected external HD problems, hitachi tech support had
me "install" my external HD in my computer to run some tests that could not
be run while in the external HD case. To do this I had to disconnect the
current slave drive. it ended up I did this a least 3 times at the request of
hitachi tech support.
I've now reconnected my internal slave drive and noticed considerable slower
boot up sequence. I'm suspecting that it because the slave drive has switched
to PIO?
