I am wondering if anybody in here has this mobo besides myself.
I like the board; however, the video doesn't seem to be as smooth on this mobo as it is on my other computers--I have 7 total.

My specs are: Mainboard: Shuttle AK37GT, 300 W sparkle power supply, 1.25 gb of PC 2100 ddr sdram, 120 gb of space--from two hard drives, Soundblaster live 5.1, Geforce 4 ti 4200 128 mb. Lite On 40x12x48 burner, Samsung 52x cdrom,
Linksys NIC card ver. 5.0.

I don't think that my Power Supply unit supplies my mainboard with enough power; that is why it seems a little choppy sometimes. I don't know what I am getting on the 12V rail;
however, Sparkle is a very reputable company.

What I have done, so far, was order a POWMAX power supply unit; which is a 400W with 28 Amperes going to the 12 volt rail. I hope that this will solve the problem.

Anyway, I also notice on this board, that there are many connectors for the PSU. About three of them one is for a small 12V connector, in conjunction with the one for the main ATX connector. Also there is also one for a small 5 pin connector as well. I am confused by all of these connectors.
This board must be a power hungry beast. I haven't had any other problems of the sort though; it is as stable as a dream. However, when I run xp, I can tell the video is a little choppy, because the taskbar scrolls down in a very choppy manner when it isn't in use. In case you don't understand what I am saying; I checked the option for the Auto-Hide the taskbar.

On all of my other units, it scrolls down real smoothly. However, on my AK37GT unit, it does it very choppy.

I can certainly tell the difference; which makes me wonder if all of my components are getting enough juice; particularly the video card.

I also ran a memory a test and the ram module on this board are putting out a mere 600 mb/sec; compared to my other units, which have the same ram, putting out 645 mb/sec.

The ram modules are even set to Cas 2!! I don't understand what the deal is with this board and memory bandwith. It is stable but it seems to be rather slower when compared to my other mobo's.

By the way, the one that I am on right now is my side computer, which is a shuttle AK31 mobo. It has 1.0 gb of ddr sdram, a athlon 2100+ processor, a 60 gb, and also a 18 gb hard drive, and a geforce 4 ti 4200 video card.

All of my computers are above 1 ghz; and I have 7 of them.

Does anybody else have this problem with the AK37GT2 model?
