Bluetooth problem

I have got an hp dv2601 laptop with vista as os.
The problem is i am able to send files from my laptop to the device via bluetooth but can't receive them.
The mobile even detects the connection but when i select the connection, the mobile stops working. i have tried using different phones but still the same.
I have got a built in bluetooth.
