I know I'm replying to my own post, but what about the sager np8760? It's slightly more money then I wanted to spend and it looks kind of beastly, but it looks like it would fit my needs. Maybe too much video card then what I really need though.

The specs are great, although the batt only 3800mAh, which is low compared to the gaming spec itself, surely u must always bring your charger if u want to travel with this laptop...
But again, this laptop is great...
You don't need to spend $2,000 on a laptop for it to be decent. I don't think you need the Sager NP8760 unless you are playing demanding 3D games, otherwise you are wasting your money. Here is a nice Sony FW Series laptop for $809.99.

The only bad thing about the above Microcenter models is that they do not come with Windows 7; however, the prices are so cheap for these models. You can order models with Windows 7 on www.newegg.com, www.bestbuy.com, and www.sonystyle.com or even on the Microcenter website, but it will cost a little more.
