Acer Laptop

Hi,
I have an Acer Aspire laptop but I'm having trouble with it recently. It has always worked out fine and now when I go to turn it on it just pops up a small message on the screen and tells me I need to rebot the sysyem. I'm not sure how to really do all this, anyone have any clue?
